The Problem

The compliance burden on operators is growing fast, and it’s not slowing down. Depending on where you operate, you may be in scope of reporting EU ETS, UK/CH ETS, French Offsetting Scheme, as well as CORSIAReFuelEU and Non-CO₂.

Most operators don’t have the internal headcount to stay on top of it all. Azzera’s Co-Pilot exists, so they can focus on flying.

The obligations are increasing...

What’s live today is just the beginning. The compliance burden on operators escalates steeply over the next decade and the operators who act now will pay significantly less than those who wait.

2025 — NOW

ReFuelEU 2% SAF Mandate + EU ETS Tightening

All EU-departing flights must meet 2% SAF blending. ETS free allowances reduce annually.

If you’re not automating your SAF usage and ETS monitoring today, you’re already behind.

Azzera covers this: Emissions MRV + SAF Certificates

2027 - APPROACHING

CORSIA Mandatory Phase Begins

International routes enter mandatory CORSIA offsetting. Operators need baselines already established before this date.

Operators without CORSIA monitoring plans in place today will face retroactive compliance costs.

Azzera covers this: CORSIA Baseline + Offsetting Strategy

2030

ReFuelEU Scales to 6% SAF

SAF demand triples. EU ETS free allowances phase out. Non-CO₂ reporting anticipated mandatory.

2035

ReFuelEU 20% SAF Mandate

SAF becomes a major operational cost. Operators without long-term SAF agreements face significant exposure.

One contract. Every obligation covered.

Co-Pilot is a fully managed annual service. Here’s what Azzera handles on your behalf:

01

EU ETS Management

Annual MRV monitoring, data verification, allowance surrender, and submission — handled end-to-end by our compliance team.

02

ReFuelEU SAF Compliance

SAF POC certificate reconciliation and application to your EU ETS annual emission report so you can benefit from emission reductions and apply for free SAF allowances.

03

CORSIA Readiness & Offsetting

Route-level emissions tracking, offset strategy, and documentation for the mandatory phase beginning 2027. Operators without a CORSIA baseline today will face retroactive costs. We eliminate that risk.

04

Non-CO₂ Reporting

Flight-level visibility of contrail, NOx, and soot impacts aligned with the latest EU scientific frameworks. Your corporate clients are already asking for this data. Now you can provide it.

One partner. Zero gaps.

Get CoPilot support to handle your account. Expert guidance across every compliance obligation so you never have to figure it out alone.
