WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL?
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a low-carbon alternative to conventional JetA fuel that reduces lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80%. Unlike traditional fossil jet fuel, SAF is produced from renewable feedstocks such as waste oils, biomass, and captured CO₂. Global aviation demand for JetA exceeds 300 million tons annually, yet SAF currently makes up less than 0.5% of supply, creating both a challenge and an opportunity for operators.
