Azzera and volunt.aero Forge Partnership to Propel SAF with Aero Club Switzerland

Partnership Facilitates the usage of Sustainable Aviation Fuel with volunt.aero, a web-based service developed in collaboration with the Aero Club of Switzerland.

Azzera, a pioneer in sustainability solutions for the aviation industry, has forged a strategic partnership with volunt.aero, championing a new era of sustainability in light aviation & air sports. The newly formed alliance is set to introduce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) via book and claim to reduce emissions from piston-powered aircraft. This SAF solution is enabled through the web-platform volunt.aero.

“This partnership equips our members with the tools to effortlessly measure and reduce their carbon emissions, coupling our love for flight with our duty to the environment”,
 said Matthias Niederhäuser of volunt.aero.

The volunt.aero initiative traces its origins to the ambitious Diamondo Earthrounding project, where Matthias Niederhäuser circumnavigated the globe together with Robin Wenger with their conscious effort to minimize their environmental impact. This spirit of adventure and care for the planet, lives on through the web-based service volunt.aero, established by Matthias Niederhäuser, and run by Niederhäuser Solutions GmbH. The service, made possible by the support of the Aero Club of Switzerland (AeCS), simplifies the calculation of flight emissions based on aircraft fuel consumption. In addition, through the integration of volunt.aero in the digital flight log capzlog.aero, the underlying fuel consumption can be calculated even quicker for pilots using this digital flight log.

“Aligning with Azzera reflects our ambition at volunt.aero to make sustainable aviation accessible to everyone, promoting a shared commitment to our planet’s future”, expressed Matthias Niederhäuser.

“Our partnership with volunt.aero fosters our mission for a sustainable aviation future in Switzerland. It supports pilots to exercise their passion with a lower carbon footprint, made possible through high quality mitigation solutions”, noted Puja Mahajan, CEO and Founder of Azzera.

Azzera’s mitigation portfolio includes access to Sustainable Aviation Fuel certificates, and high-quality carbon credits curated with the Azzera impact scoring system. The initiative of volunt.aero, supported by Azzera’s mitigation solutions, sets a new standard for environmental responsibility in light aviation & air sports in Switzerland.

About volunt.aero:

Made possible by the support of the Aero Club of Switzerland (AeCS) and in close cooperation with the climate protection organization Myclimate and Azzera, the volunt.aero web calculator offers the possibility to calculate the CO2 emissions of piston-powered aircraft based on their own fuel consumption. The calculated emissions serve as a basis for making a voluntary but effective contribution to climate protection and are integrated into the digital flight log catalogue.aero for even easier use.

volunt.aero is a service provided by Niederhäuser Solutions GmbH in collaboration with Genhart IT Solutions
